When I mount my usual /home on 10.0B1 and I want to use WindowMaker as my windowmanager it crashes. I normaly use 9.1. The error I get is to look in .xsession-errors I have installed the Gnome version. When I use new user it works without any problem. The error I get in .xsession-errors is: /etc/X11/xim: Checking wether an input method should be started. INPUT_METHOD is not set or empty (no user selected input method). Trying to start a default input method for the locale en_US.UTF-8 ... There is no default input method for the current locale. *** buffer overflow detected ***: /usr/X11R6/bin/wmaker terminated X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 42 (X_SetInputFocus) Serial number of failed request: 1340 Current serial number in output stream: 1341 Is this SUSE related or WindowMaker related? houghi -- Stay away from flying saucers today.

I have installed the Gnome version. When I use new user it works without any problem. The error I get in .xsession-errors is:
/etc/X11/xim: Checking wether an input method should be started. INPUT_METHOD is not set or empty (no user selected input method). This is the buffer overflow check triggering. Please create a bugreport (and cc meissner@suse.de).
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 42 (X_SetInputFocus) Serial number of failed request: 1340 Current serial number in output stream: 1341
Is this SUSE related or WindowMaker related?
WindowMaker has a bufferoverflow (likely non-security relevant, but a bug neithertheless. Ciao, Marcus
