Anyone have any luck with this speaker setup? (slight correction)
Hey gang, Has anyone had any luck getting all 6 speakers of a Logitech Z-640 system working? If so, what sound card are you using? I've checked hardware compatibility, and my Audigy2 Value isn't supported (though it does work with 3 speakers, the 2 front (or rear?) and the bass), but I've read some folk here say the Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro has worked, I think. I've got the latest ALSA drivers on this 9.3 system and it made no difference. Thanks for any feedback. John B.

I used the Sound Blaster Live Value. and well in Suse 9.1 / 2 and 3 it has worked on all channels, and I never had to configure a thing. My 2c, ... :} I sold my Z640s and I have now upgraded to the Z-5500. For the thumping bass fans, I recommend it, I takes the 640s and makes them small, and if you know just how mean the 640s are then you can only imagine upgrading the sub from 8inch to 10 inch. :) In a room that is 6 meters by 8 meters.. you can feel the bass in side you :) :) Oh and one very cool feature, once you hit max volume, you can turn the volume dial another half turn and it goes into boost mode, and there are 6 levels of boost..... -- -- Chadley Wilson Production Line Superintendant Pinnacle Micro Manufacturers of Proline Computers ==================================== Exercise freedom, Use LINUX =====================================
