I'm currently using a 14" svga(I think) it was given to me with an old 486/33.(It was better than the 14" vga I have:-)) I'd like to replace it and have considered a 17" Trintron, possibly with multimedia, though I've not been able to configure the AWE64 I just purchased or the Hauppauge Wincast/TV-dbx. Having seen DVD on an HP Pavillion ("Contact" is pretty impressive) it may be time to do more with my machine. The NEC flatpanels(www.xtraview.com) look preety impressive(I know much more expensive thenn crts), but I like the power consumption and lower radiation. Still there may be other trade offs, such as perhaps mpeg will be unacceptable. Anyways, was wondering if anyone, aside from laptop users, has made the switch?
