Belkin Wireless G Plus Desktop Card F5D7001 Installed in SuSE 10.1

Suse 10 or 10.1? Are you new to linux... to Suse.... ? Has the card ever worked before....linux? which version? Look dmesg output for pci messages that might give you clues to hardware

10.1 -- and no, I've used SuSE since 8.1
The card hasn't worked before in Linux, and not tried it in Windows.
How do I install and use ndiswrapper? Recommended how-to location?
Thanks,
wmeler

http://en.opensuse.org/Ndiswrapper_howto Try the above link... or google for ndiswrapper howto There are several good howto sites... maybe one specific for your card... google it. The trouble sometimes is finding a W2000 or XP driver that will work with ndiswrapper.... for instance the drivers that came on the cd for the WG311v3 for XP do not work with ndiswrapper... crashes the kernel... rats. Sooo, I had to do some snooping around the world... I finally found a driver that works well... -- Kind regards, M Harris <><

Not sure if this helps, but I have a Belkin F5D7010 PCI card working under Suse9.2 on my laptop using the driver available from http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com. Having said that that, I don't actaully use it outside of the home. Rgds, -- Mike Bishop 907/495-5737 mbishop@mtaonline.net Willow, Alaska
Thanks! I have the WinXP driver...it is working perfectly in XP... Where do I get the 10.1 rpm for ndiswrapper? been looking around to no avail. -- Cheers, wmeler
