That is, it seems there are serious problems with printing. The printer is connected to the computer through parallel port in ECP+EPP mode. I have tried both the PPD offered by openSUSE and downloaded from Kyocera site.

The same printer worked perfecrly in oS 11.2.

Any solution?

Try a different printer driver. I had similar issues with a brother printer that were fixed when I changed the ppd.
