[SuSE Linux] Creative Labs Ensoniq PCI Sound
Good news, all! You heard a few days ago about beta sound dri- vers being available for the SB Live! sound cards, but maybe you don't have the cash for even the Value cards. Well, the Ensoniq PCI is a great sound solution for those of us who with severe ISA deficiency. Well, mostly, anyway. I went ahead and compiled support for my ESS1371 chipset into the kernel (not a module), as well as MPU401. What I can't get sorted out is why I can play wav, mp3, and cda audio, but not mid files. This is disappointing, but not a killer. I don't use the midi standard often, but once in a while it does come up (plus, I have a killer collection of mid's that I get an urge to play with sometimes...) Any ideas? Thanks again. -=|JP|=- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html
