Recovering LVM after update from 7.0 to 7.2
Hi, I've just done an update from 7.0 to 7.2. I was rather disappointed to find the update trashed all my previous configs. Being used to commercial unixes this was somethig of a surprise. Anyway, I had 4 filesystems that were on logical volumes. There were 2 volume groups vglive and vgtest. Attempting to use vgcfgrecover suggests there's been a format change between 7.0 and 7.2 since the recover errors out. Am I screwed or does anyone know of a way to get the volumes back? pvdisplay produces valid reports on the logical disks concerned. For info the logical disks are mirror pairs on a Compaq 4200 hardware RAID controller. You may want to check out the upgrade process which was described in the 0.9.1 beta8 and LVM 1.0 release notes. Also see http://www.sistina.com/products_lvm_mailing list.htm for the linux-lvm list archives. M
