I would not be the best to give you details on this, but I know the thing involves some automated script or mini-proggie you execute as you get online; that script posts your actual IP to a fixed page of your choice ( http://www.my-isp.com/personal/myself.html ) and that's the reference ( Link ) you give everybody, so they get 'redirected' to your actual IP. Hope its clear, but you'll need to find more details. Many people do this, so you'lll find it done, for sure. - -- - From the forgotten corner in Europe, Land of Breogan Powered by GNU/Linux SuSE 7.0 - Linux user #97.266 ...may the force be with you -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.1e-SuSE (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE6kN4q43VmOmspzC4RArbgAKCPBScxc78HNQTtai3X1WHaOQae8QCfW8nt fsjrwV0iOUIgKd+W8p5bCx8= =dJ6k -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

If you have Apache (httpd) running they could use their browser and point it to your box using what you gave. Or, they could exploit your httpd if you are running an older version of httpd (check SuSE's site for httpd security issues.) Or they could telnet in through port 23 if you have the telnetd running. To see how vunerable your are go to: http://www.sdesign.com/securitytest and have it check your box. JLK

Opps, I forgot your real question. The same way. The hard part would be determining your quad address. But to some crackers that's not too hard. JLK -- Athiests believe they know there is no god.
