[opensuse] How to install latest git in SUSE 13.1
Hi, How can I install latest git version ? I have very old versions and when I try to update it : [arup@sztukajedzenia (SJ002)]$ sudo zypper in git Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... 'git' is already installed. No update candidate for 'git-1.8.4.5-3.8.4.i586'. The highest available version is already installed. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do. [arup@sztukajedzenia (SJ002)]$ I can see "nothing to do". The git version stated is the most up-to-date version within the repos you have configured. Add the devel:tools:scm repo and installed git from there.
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/tools:/scm/openSUSE_13.1
zypper in git
