I've downloaded and installed RealPlayer10 gold . When I try to play "realmedia" video streams I only get audio output no video. Has anyone else tried it and got a similar result or is it just me? (Just checking before I file a bug report.) Thanks Eddie

RealPlayer-10.0.5.756-20050513.i586.rpm on openSUSE beta2 Audio and video streams, no problem (even in synch which is always a bonus...) Peter.

Thanks for letting me know, Peter. I shall now take a closer look at my own systems (actually the video stream has failed on at least two of my systems one has a nvidia card and the other a matrox card). I should have mentioned before that I am running RealPlayer-10.0.5.756-20050513 on openSUSE beta2. I'm assuming that you didn't have to tweak anything? Eddie

What I've discovered so far is that several live streams only produce audio and no video output. These streams seem to work fine on SuSE9.3 giving both audio and video output. So is there a codec or something missing in the opensuse betas that cause this or is it a bug? The stream that I am personally particularly interested in is: http://boss.streamos.com/real-live/tabn/7867/300_tabn-tv_050207.smi Perhaps someone can try it and see if they get video output. Thanks Eddie

I don't know if anyone's listening or cares but realplayer seems to be fully functional with beta4. I'm pleased and much appreciative. Thanks Eddie

Hi I am trying to setup a ISDN dialup internet conection on a laptop running suse 10 and/or 9.3. I think i have the right settings. I can see the USB-modem on dev/usb/ttyacm0 But when I start kppp noithing happens expect an error message that tells me to check the location of the modemdevice. The lights on the usb modem do not light up as the do in windows. ISDN usb modem: Dynalink ta du-128ta+ This is supposed to have the Winbond W6692CF chipset I4l is installed. Any suggestions? Is this a bug or just hardware incompatibility? If its crappy hardware, does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap usb isdn modem I could buy that works? -- Kenneth Aar
