Re: [SLE] ejecting a zip disk
I have a zip drive and use SuSE 6.1. This is what I do. In 6.1, under the series "ap", you will find "ziptool". Install ziptool if you haven't already. To eject , enter %ziptool -e <device> On my machine, the zip drive is /dev/sda: %ziptool -e /dev/sda Note that this is not the *partition* "sda4." I believe ziptool won't try to eject if the zip disc is still mounted whereas the eject button might, but I'm not sure. HTH Steve -- On Sat, 29 Apr 2000 23:07:12 Chris Reeves wrote:

Have got my ide zip drive to work fine with the exception that I cannot eject the disk whether it is unmounted or mounted. Anyone tell me why or if there is something special I have to do?
Do you mean you physically can't eject it? The zip drive may well respond to the 'eject' command. Not that I have a zip drive myself...
