[opensuse] problem with fonts in kmail
running openSUSE 10 3 x86_64 with kfe 3.5.10 "release 44" all of a sudden the fonts in the meassage body have revereted to something I can't identify but are very basic. Trying to reset through kmail settings appearance I can now only change to my desired font (BH Lucida) to affect the header section. The unwanted font still remains in the text of the message. The same problem applies to all other available fonts, I am using the custom fonts option.. The fault started last night and I have made no changes that I can think of to the setup up that might have caused it. I have tried to find config files in my home/kde that I might look at but nothing obvious springs to mind. Any ideas where I might look to fix this please ? If you did not change anything (not only font related) then watch your graphic adapter. I got some problems before the old one died although it was running at that time the latest driver version. Font corruption as you describe happend to nvidia users, before driver was updated. After new adapter died I resorted to older and I got barely readable to completely unreadable fonts in any desktop. The symptoms you describe sound like you inadvertently switched to viewing the message with a fixed font.
