Good morning Jack, Well I desactivated the FW and guess what no more networking (either for Firefox or Konqueror) and I had to reboot the workstation. Once rebooted, my workgroups and domains were visible once more without changing anything to the previous config on the Samba client.. But will investigate further down because now I don't have a firewalled laptop. Even transfered 13.6Gb from my SME Samba server without an hitch but here is what I see : 1. The window title says 0% of 16,777,216.0 TB (Copying) 2. 11.7GB of 16,777,216.0 TB complete 3. 0% percent progress bar 4. 6.0 MB/s (23:59:59 remaining). 5. 323/406 folders 67../9177 files Once finished - 13.6Gb transfered, 9177 files and 406 sub-folders. It seems that the transfert is well under way cause I check via iptraf on my SME server but the KDE Window doesn't seem to display nothing right. If any comments please reply. My suse 9.1 an 9.2 boxes both see the samba network just fine so its not the os's thought must be config problem, check to make sure you have the same workgroup name set on all machines. an check the firewall in 9.2, go an disable it an see if that helps.
