Greetings, To those having problems with ppp, you might put debug in your suse options file so you can see what it is doing. (Or invoke: /etc/suseppp/scripts/ppp-up <something> debug ) If there is a /var/lock/L* file for your modem existing before you dial, then you should rm it or something. Finally, I found that if you don't have your pap-secrets right, and possibly your name=<isp_name> (can't remember exact syntax) in your options file, it will drop the connection abruptly. In any case, check your /var/log/messages file after turning debug on.
