Hi all, I am using SuSE7.0 and I need to set up a NAT server (static address translation). It looks like the 2.2.16 kernel support NAT (Networking Options > IP: advanced router > IP: fast network address translation). The question is simple, how to use this feature once I compiled it in the kernel. Which command is then available? TIA Maurizio

You can set up masquerading using ipchains. You'ld probably be best looking at the IP-Masquerade HOWTO. It's quite simple. The new kernel 2.4.0 *doesn't* use ipchains though, so if you upgrade your kernel to 2.4.x you'll need to learn about iptables as well.
