I just s**tcan'ed a Epson 440 color printer. When it printed, it printed great. But I had to return three of them before I got one that lasted more than two months. Then the ink is so §$% costly it's unreal. A black ink cartage costs (in Germany) around 10 -13 euro (ca 12$) and color twice that. A black cartage lasts about 150 pages. You can get a refillable cartage, but I wore it out in about 10 months. At that time I counted up the cost of buying non-refils and saw that a rebuilt HP laserJet 5L would pay for it's self in about 11 months. So got one and am now very happy with it. Oh, btw Epson cartages cost around 30$ each. These prices are so bad that the EU is looking in to it. I have a good old Epson Stylus Color 440 and it stills print well (anyway, well for my needs...). But sure ink is expensive even if it seems a little less here in France. But i can confirm that it works well with SüSE Linux. Francis
