[SLE] Samba with share password?
Hi, folks! Is possible to define a password for each share in samba? I searched in all samba's mail list, but didn't find anything about it. Does anybody know anything about it? Or only exist one solution for it, setting as SECURITY=USER to access samba shares through authentication from real accounts in other box? You can't define a password for each share but you can nearly do it, you need to set security=SHARE (it's the default) and then attach a username to each of the share. The supplied password will first be checked against the password of the user if one is supplied and then against the users defined in the username parameter. /Michael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
