Hmm... What do you mean when you say "kscd refuses to play cd's"? Does kscd give you a error message or do you just not hear anything coming out of your speakers when you play a cd? ~~Nick Hi

This is probably an old chestnut by now but thought that I would ask
anyway.

I've just upgraded my own personal workstation to SuSE 8.1. Sound works fine. Can listen to the radio through an old tuner. Checked the sound settings and everything looks good. If I put a music CD in the drive Kscd refuses to recognise it and when I press play Kscd does nothing. Tried other CDs with the same result. -- Richard
