[opensuse] Segmentation fault when trying ti start YAST2
Hi all, Recently went back to openSUSE after years of uisng other distros. So far so good! I have a problem when I am trying to launch YAST2: linux:/home/jonathan # yast2 QStandardPaths: wrong ownership on runtime directory /run/user/1000, 1000 instead of 0 /sbin/yast2: line 450: 3479 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $y2ccbin $Y2UI_ARGS "$@" Why has this happened? I know probably can change the ownership of the catalogue but I would like to know why this happened after an update? NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed" # VERSION="20180109 " Thanks! / Jonathan

Did you search for an existing bug? Maybe this one is the same: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1072025 -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Whatever else you get, get wisdom." You are using the wrong list, you should use opensuse-factory@opensuse.org for questions about Tumbleweed. It looks you are using a non-root account. When I launch yast2 in such an account I get: Absolute path to 'yast2' is '/usr/sbin/yast2', so running it may require superuser privileges (eg. root). -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
