I'm having some trouble with the install script for SuSEfirewall2. My question is how do you get it to run. None of the documentation that in the .tar file says just what you are to do with it. Thanks for the help in advance. I'm I to use "make", "make_install"?

I downloaded the tarball to a local directory untarred it to a /tmp dir. Changed to the tmp dir and did a ./INSTALL Remember to change your configuration file (rc.config) either manually or via Yast -> System Administrator -> Change Configuration File. If ya run Firewall2 turn on START_FW2 and turn off START_FW. If you have both installed (as I do). Ya will notice duplicate entries in there like FW_FORWARD_TCP and FW_FORWARD_TCP. FIrewall2 seems to be faster with IP Masq. Ambrosius - -- ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ??????????????????????????????? I believe from memory its INSTALL, so as root ./INSTALL. Then edit the file /etc/rc.config.d/firewall2.rc.config To start, you can run the script SuSEfirewall2 start Hope that helps, Matt
