USB not working on Suse 10, AMD Athlon XP-M
Hello, I am fairly new to Linux and need help with getting my USB to work. I have a laptop with AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+ w/ PowerNow Tech and have installed Suse 10 (without ACPI support because the system used to hang-up whenever I installed with ACPI). I have an optical USB mouse from Dell and the light (or laser) turns on when I hit the power button to turn the laptop on, but turns off as soon as Suse starts loading. I have tried the following commands thru the shell: linux:/home/boom # cd /proc/bus/usb/ linux:/proc/bus/usb # ls . .. linux:/proc/bus/usb # mount -t usbfs usb /proc/bus/usb/ mount: usb already mounted or /proc/bus/usb/ busy Please help me with this, if you want I can provide any output from any commands that I should run to help you better understand the problem. Many thanks. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Personals Skip the bars and set-ups and start using Yahoo! Personals for free

Is the BIOS the latest version? Try updating it.
