Can someone show me an example of how to scp a file from 192.168.0.1 located at /home/usr/file.txt to 192.168.0.2 at /home/usr2/file.txt ?? I can't figure out how to copy a file from one system to another system using scp. Thanks! -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
Assuming you are logged into .1, scp /home/usr/file.txt 192.168.0.2:/home/usr/file.txt - Herman On 31 Jul 2002, Tom Nielsen wrote: ->Can someone show me an example of how to scp a file from 192.168.0.1 ->located at /home/usr/file.txt to 192.168.0.2 at /home/usr2/file.txt ?? -> ->I can't figure out how to copy a file from one system to another system ->using scp. -> ->Thanks! ->

user@192.168.0.1: ~> scp /home/usr/file.txt 192.168.0.2:/home/usr2/file.txt if "user" doesn't exist on the other machine, you can use: scp /home/usr/file.txt otheruser@192.168.0.2:/home/usr2/file.txt -tosi
