Hi, Been using mandrake for a few years and would like to become a suse user. Running sue 9.0. On mandrake there are men/women who create improved rpms for some software and make it available on their sites for download and direct install. I have been running a kernel 2.6.xx.xx for quite a while on MDK 9.2. Now being used in MDK 10. I take it that there must be same poeple on suse. My system is up to date as of online update today. Kindly may I have some special sites that have these improved software for suse 9.0 install please. Thanks -- Johan Registered Linux User #330034 May this be a good day for learning

Thanks Togan, I'll reciprocate by mentioning that the SuSE FAQ (http://susefaq.sf.net) maintained by Togan is a very useful source of information on SuSE. It's also one of the sites/blogs syndicated on Planet SuSE (www.rubberturnip.org.uk/planetsuse) -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0). Hi Johan! another way to look at this is with apt4rpm: http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ there are a number of software repositories available and apt makes it very easy to search through them. -- michael On Tue, 02 Mar 2004, Johan wrote:
