[SLE] DSL Modem over a hub...

Greetings! I did some more probing into my DSL modem situation. I currently have my DSL modem connected to a hub and the Windows software has no problem working with it. Linux can also use a DSL modem on a hub as well. The trick is to specified the network card that is connected to the hub. Once I specified "eth0" in /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf -- even with eth0 specified as 192.168.1.1 with ifconfig -- the adsl-start script can interact with the modem. I'm currently "TIMED OUT" when I try to make a connection but I'm not sure why. Next week, I will be building my firewall box with two NICs and Coyote Linux.
