[opensuse] no flash in chromium in leap 42.2
Just did a clean install of 42.2. Had been using 13.2 since it first came out, best distro I have ever used. Hated to see it go. Anyway, the install went great and so far have only one glitch. I have been unable to get flash working in chromium. There is no pepper flash in the standard repository which chromium normally uses but I did notice adobe flash had been installed. I located an unstable version of pepper flash on the opensuse website version 22.0.0.209-6.1 provided by Kenzy. I installed that version but still no flash in chromium. Any ideas? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Install google-chrome. You aren't going to like that, but this is brain-storming, right? :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

First be sure you have added packman: `sudo zypper ar -f http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ packman` then do: `sudo zypper in freshplayerplugin` If no flash after that, there is also a package you can install called `flash-plugin` but I am guessing you won't need that. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
I went ahead and installed Chrome. Everything is good now. First time I have used Chrome in Linux, always used Chromium in the past. Wife will like it, just like her Android devices now. Thanks everybody for the quick and good responses. Dave On Fri, Jan 27, 2017 at 9:21 AM, sdm <fastcpu@openmailbox.org> wrote:
