With the following line in the Google input box: [SLE] kmail export site:lists.suse.com You could have found this thread: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2002-May/2379.html Copy or move the mbox to a backup location. What I usually do to import an mbox: cat mbox_file >> /var/mail/login_name (substitute for mbox_file and login_name your own values) But maybe there is a risk that it can go wrong if a mail client accesses /var/mail/login_name at the same time... Cheers, Leen

which will work for mbox format, but not for Maildir, which would need the directory structure copied. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Indeed. ;)
which would need the directory structure copied.
Or converting that Maildir mailbox into a mbox mailbox (in kMail: create a new dir, in properties set format to mbox, copy messages over, remove old dir, rename new dir to old dir). Cheers, Leen
