[SuSE Linux] [Off topic] External SCSI HDs
Does anyone sell an _external_ SCSI HD that is compatible with SCSI2? LaCie used to be big in external SCSIs, but for the Mac. If this is a device that can be reached and seen from linux why not give it a decend ext2 filesystem? you can probably use a couple of disks in another case and link up with a scsi2 cable between, i've seen these cases for sale on many occasions, just the prices are over the top. Sincere thanks to all those who replied. Upon further followup I find that my SCSI technology is too old (SCSI2) and that today's SCSI devices (UltraSCSI2 and beyond) are just too expensive for a machine that is primarily for amusement.
