Adobe acrobat printing with CUPS
I just changed to CUPS, and it works great except I can't get Adobe Reader to print. I know I need to change the print command /usr/bin/lpr, but to what? I cna't find it in the CUPS docs. Harry G

I've been printing IRS forms this morning with CUPS and Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0. The Adobe printer dialog shows the print command as kprinter. FWIW, when I installed CUPS I didn't have to make any changes to the Adobe install. -- Regards, Malcolm KMail l.3.1 -- KDE 2.2.2 -- SuSE Linux 7.3 Remove the dots to email me

The CUPS client software installs an lpr replacement program that works with CUPS. The /usr/bin/lpr should work fine if you want to print to your default printer. To print to another printer, use: /usr/bin/lpr -P<print-queue-name> Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ wielder of vi(m), an ancient, dangerous and powerful magic free your mind, and your OS will follow
