Scanning with Epson multifunction cx6400 Suse 9.1
Any suggestions on how to get the scanning function to work? I believe I have the epson.conf and dll.conf files configured properly. The scanner is connected via usb (libusb). sane-find-scanner locates the scanner. scanimage -L also finds the scanner but identifies it as an epson PX-A650 flatbed scanner.
From both the command line and xsane, when I try to scan I get an error message "invalid argument"
I get the same result running as root or in a user account. Any and all suggestions and comments will be appreciated.

scanners are developed in groups or families. Your scanner is probably a variation on the base scanner, px-a650.

these are indications that I really need my crystal ball to see.... -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
