Installation profiles, is there any such thing in OpenSUSE?
Hi All, during installation there are several choices on how one would like his/her system be set up. Although there's the ability to (de)select each single package I believe it would be useful to have some (4-5) predefined installation sets. For instance, a server or a workstation have very different basic requirements and starting from the minimum system (by adding packages) or deselecting what's not needed is not very efficient. In particular if one has to repeat the same operation on different machines. Is there a way to automatize the process that I don't know of? Or, would adding a short list of profiles/options be a valid improvement to the installation process? In fact, having the ability to save/load a customized profile would be a great feature IMHO! Thanks, -c
