[opensuse] ipv6 enablement required to forward X in 13.1

Putting finishing touches on a replacement server with 13.1 and found that I cannot "ssh -X <my-server> -l me" and have access to X w/o having ipv6 enabled in yast netowrk. Rather odd requirement, imnsho :^) Also noticed and comes to mind that this is rather old, yast recommends reboot when toggling ipv6 on/off when all that is necessary is to restart the network, service network restart or systemctl restart network.service or rcnetwork restart or /etc/init.d/network restart or <I am reasonable sure there are other options> (what did I miss?). -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

There is a kernel boot option, IIRC. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 12.3 x86_64 "Dartmouth" at Telcontar)
