[SuSE Linux] Speaking of xservers

      Speaking of xservers, bravo to S.u.S.E. for the fast footwork on getting
a matrox g200 server.  That is going to be one hot card, and as soon as
I finish paying for my other new hardware purchases, it's on my short
list.  
I also hope you guys get a reference board from 3dfx for their new
banshee card.  Unlike their previous voodoo rush cards, this card looks
to be an excellent 2d/3d combination.  I think Diamond has a banshee
card shipping in early September, and these cards are going to be
popular with people who don't want to run a seperate card (voodoo or
voodoo2) for 3d, as it will deliver excellent direct3d performance,
surpassing a voodoo2, and opengl game performance about 75% as fast as a
voodoo2 (the reason for this being the banshee runs at a higher clock
speed than a voodoo2 and gets better benchmarks on games that have
simple texturing, but on games that use multiple passes for texturing
like quake2 and unreal the voodoo2 is faster because it has 2 texel
processing chips instead of the banshee's single).  I just got a reply
from Xig, and they said their server for the banshee wouldn't be ready
for "a few months".
