I have juste one short question ... I have (Netscape) mail folder under Windows with mails from different mailing lists. How can I import those folders and view mails with Linux Netscape? I tried to just copy files but it doesn't work ... Thank you
Just a pointer, but Unix and Windows have different line termination codes in text files. You might need to convert them using dos2unix (if installed, it's included with SuSE). Good luck

I did this sucessfully: Close Netscape Find the mail folder in Linux (probably in file/anel/nsmail/) copy the inbox file from your Windows Netscape users folder here (ignore the inbox.snm) open the inbox.sbd folder in linux and copy the files without .snm extensions from the inbox.sbd folder in windows When you open Netscape mail again, and as you look in each folder, the number of messages and read messages will appear. You can also transfer bookmarks from Windows by moving files Julia "Anel H. [ pingvin` ]" wrote:

It works fine. Copy everything from Windows folder into your linux dir. (usually ~user/nsmail). Rename *all* xxx.snm files to .xxx.summary (a script can do the job here). Make sure the renaming recurses into subdirs also. For example, the file Inbox.snm must be named to .Inbox.summary Fire Netscape Mail. Do "Empty Thrash on Local Mail" to get your numbers correct. That's it. -Stathis. Olle Viksten wrote:
