[SLE] Ok, I know this sounds stupid
ok, I still new to linux so I dont know what is wrong with this or how to fix it. I have a sound blaster live and I am trying to set it up.. well I loaded the right package em10k.. something or other.. and then I went to /usr/lib/ em10k, you know where the script is and ran the install script.. I am work now and cant remember every thing exactly but I know I did this part right.. now here is where we get to the wired part. when I run the script i get an error message and I have no idea what is wrong. I am guessing that I am missing some lib of some sort but Im not sure. the error is with line for which is a "if "statement and it says something like unrecognized operator or character (not sure which now) "[" so I vi the file and take out the [ from line four.. I grasping at straws if you cant tell. that did not work, so I put the file back and thought I would write you fine folks on monday morning if the world didnt end ;-) laters Ron -- Ron Morgan jr. I dont remember offhand as Im at work.. it is something like if [ la la la ] it had a problem with the brackets which is something if should have no problem with.. so I am missing something and I dont know what it is.. i did remove the brackets then it had a problem with what was inside the brackets.. I got the feeling that it would have had a problem with every character in the script. omething else that is wired that may be related is, I cant bring up ahh shoot I cant remember I knew I should have written this down.. with the standard install when you go to open i think it under programs ,, the xterms ... the one that starts with a k, I cant open that one.. the window pops up and then dies rite away.. o I know I must be missing something, I just dont know enough to know what Im missing.
