[opensuse] "Addons CD" for easy installation
Hi all, I created an "Addon CD" for OpenSuse 10.3 similar to what I released for SLED10. I decided to switch to OpenSuse 10.3 from SLED10 for all of the home computers I setup for people (OpenSuse 10.3 is a very worthy upgrade from SLED10), because of this I needed to create an easy way to add all the software I think people would use. (I install quite a few GNU/Linux machines) This CD was made to be an add-on when using the GNOME install CD (this way I only need to give people 2 CDs), but it can also be used when using the DVD as long as you install the GNOME Desktop. So far I only have an x86 version available. In the future I may have a 64 bit version (if there is a need for it). The CD contains RPMs from the Opensuse mirrors, the packman mirrors and my own custom RPMs for certain things such as gnochm, stellarium, agave, freemind, etc. If you want to download the CD (bittorrent only), go to: http://www.pcc-services.com/opensuse_rpms.html or if you just want to use my custom RPMs I will have them at: http://files.pcc-services.com/files/opensuse10.3/RPMs/ Hope this helps people spread OpenSuse to friends/family :-) Mike Petersen mgpeter@pcc-services.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
