Hi there I'm having a strange problem with nfsd after upgrading to kernel 2.4 series. I've been trying many different releases and now i'm runing the latest test pre8 and everytime I would get the following error while trying to start nfsd. root@athlon:/sbin/init.d > ./nfsserver restart Shutting down kernel based NFS serverexportfs: could not open /proc/fs/nfs/exports for locking done Starting kernel based NFS serverlockdsvc: Function not implemented nfssvc: Function not implemented failed It is strange that I've been unable to get it to work with so many different versions I tried. And still no go. I also tried to compile the nfsd as both module and right into the kernel both with the same error. At the same time the nfs module loads no problem.
