Maybe. When installing from the 2nd CD, yast stopped dead. I think it had some thing to do with one package - since I haven't tried to install as much since. bye.

I had a bad #1 CD when I got 5.3, but SuSE was quick to send a replacement. The problem only occured when I tried re-partitioning and on the origianl CD #1. If this is not your problem, you may have a bad CD and you need to contact suse@suse.de and feedback@suse.de with the exact problem. Hello all, I recently got my Zip working, but it doen't recognize long filenames on my Dos/Win Zips. . I get the typical "MyDocu~1" thing. Your not alone!. I purchased the 5.2 distribution nearly 3 months ago, and finally received a replacement cdrom #1( they mailed version 5.3) and I ended up wasting a day installing and reinstalling manually from #2 and #3, The problem seems to be with the low quality of the cdroms - the directories are readable, but the files are NOT. After 4 reinstalls - my system while booting up can't find 'cat'.
