Thanks - it runs using either -cp or -jar in the command, although it does not seem very stable (I think that is from other unknown issues). But I used to start it from a shortcut which just pointed to the jar file. This is what does not work anymore. However, on Windows, if you double-click on the .jar file, it runs. At work we have an application (actually an applet) which you start via a .jar file. In 8.2 this was no problem, but after a clean install of 9.0, the file will no longer start by just clicking on the .jar file. If I give it the full path to java, as follows, I can get it to start, although it doesn't seem very stable:
/usr/lib/java/jre/bin/java -cp <applet>.jar
yay! I know this one <G> you need to substitute -jar for -cp and your command ( applet ) should run j -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
