[opensuse] How do I set up an shared agenda with evolution?
I would like to share my evolution agenda across my lan. Where do I start looking for solutions? Do I need to setup a server? And if so which server exactly? -- Regards, Aniruddha Please adhere to the OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Most obvious option is WebDAV/ICal on Apache..... http://fedoranews.org/mediawiki/index.php/Building_a_Simple_Calendar_Server_... gives some ideas... You would have to translate this to SuSE... Midgard has a calendar module (name I cannot recall) which does iCal with a funambol SyncML backend which means you can sync with your phone in principle... Unfortunately, after two days of recompiling and messing about did not get Midgard to install in a usable manner ... There is a SuSE repository for Midgard but last time I looked it did not work well on 64 bit... intend to have another look at some point. If anyone else has found something else workable I would like to know ... - -- ============================================================================== I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone. My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
