I use 9.1 and kernel 2.6.9 with the 'bootsplash' patch ONLY. When I burn CDs as root they work, but not as someone else. I used k3bsetup2 and changed all of the permissions to 4710. As a normal user I get this debugging output (I hope this isn't kernel 2.6.8/2.6.8.1 all over again!): System ----------------------- K3b Version:0.11.17 KDE Version: 3.3.1 QT Version: 3.3.3 cdrecord ----------------------- /usr/bin/cdrecord: Warning: not running as root user, fs= option ignored. /usr/bin/cdrecord: Resource temporarily unavailable. Thanks in advance!

Do you have the compat in Executable file formats / Emulations configured as a module? If so, does it work if you modprobe compat before burning? If that works, try putting it in your kernel and it will work. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
