sendmail not listening...
I have SuSE 8.0 installed and running. However, the sendmail daemon is accepting connections only from local users. It's late, and my eyes are tired. I can't seem to find a configuration option in /etc/sysconfig/sendmail to allow non-local connections. At the moment, I can send mail outbound, and deliver mail locally, but I can get no mail from outside... It's probably so obvious, that the SuSE sdb doesn't even have a mention of it. What are my tired eyes missing? Rick Green

this is located at /etc/sysconfig/mail
# # Set this to "yes" if mails from remote should be accepted # this is necessary for any mail server. # If set to "no" or empty the only mails from localhost # are accepted. # SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE="yes"

Thank you! That option turned out to be in /etc/sysconfig/mail, which I had totally overlooked, as I was repeatedly searching thru /etc/sysconfig/sendmail. I think I can sleep now... Rick On Thu, 18 Jul 2002, Togan Muftuoglu wrote:
