Speaking of WEBMIN, where can a SuSE Linux user get the package? I would like to incoroprate it into several of my servers. Thanks for any information. Best regards, Gary

I have RPMs at http://tick.funktronics.ca/rpms The binary one is for 7.1 AXP, but you can create one for another architecture by getting the src.rpm and: rpm --rebuild webmin-0.87-1.src.rpm A happy rpm will magically appear in /usr/src/packages/RPMS/<your architecture> - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7lTIT+FOexA3koIgRAs4wAKCTf/jr8YDOXCd0UgoD9IUrEhw5NQCgpeq7 gCQ4OAhuALloN+nQmRKTPLw= =yy+2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I probably got my src.rpm from there originally, but I can't quite remember. I may also have modified the spec file to work better in SuSE, but again, I can't remember. I figured it better to stick my RPMs up there as they are known to work cleanly in SuSE. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7lUTq+FOexA3koIgRAux2AKCnm7gFiFTe11x5K6TDo4YvyA8G2ACgnLH1 3ShdVXfZcWGCa493FrxKpKk= =0rgC -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I'm using it (-0.87) on two machines both with SuSE 7.2 and no problems, not that this constitutes testing. This is, and has been, a great tool for administering to remote and local machines. BTW, SuSE, it's standard fare on Mandrake and Caldera, hint, hint. ;-) -- TRBishop tb64710@alltel.net SuSE 7.2 Pro

By the way, if you install the Perl-ssleay files (on the SuSE CD's) along with webmin, you can then turn on SSL support in webmin so that all your webmin sessions will be encrypted. Otherwise you'll be sending passwords in the clear if you're working remotely. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
