Hello team I am currently putting together a LIVECD based on the official SUSE 9.2 LIVECD. I wonder if any official SUSE person on here can give us access to the scripts used to create the liveCD? If not I guess I have to create me own ;) Looks pretty straight forward .... managed to do a new cloop.img ..... will keep you guys posted. Sounds interesting. I hope they will give you a hand in this. Would it be possible to include such a thing in the 1_CD version, because that would be cool. In what language are you writing the script? If in bash, it could be included in makeSUSEdvd and one could make a live DVD. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

We're working on this - our plans are to release our scripts. Currently they are in a rather bad shape and cannot be used externally without the author giving some advice... Hi Andreas I understand .... I am happy to get that advice and help putting them into shape? Andreas

As always, we will publish a live DVD of SUSE Linux 10.0. ETA is Oct. 6th, AFAIK. I guess it would take much more time to explain the steps needed to create the live DVD, than just creating it here in Nuremberg. As AJ already pointed out, we will release those scripts, as soon as they are cleaned up and ready for general use. Regards Christoph

Probably bash .... but I think at this stage we better wait for the internal scripts to be cleaned up and released. Unless of course it will take months ..... Andreas

Would indeed be better to wait. Whne you start and you are interested to include it in makeSUSEdvd, look at the latest version at https://sourceforge.net/projects/makesusedvd/ Also best email me, so I won't suddenly upload a complete different version. Naturaly only if you want to include it in makeSUSEdvd, wich I also use to make CD's. :-) houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html
