I seem to have made problems for myself and have NO idea how or when I did so: pat@hayou:~> nslookup xx.yz *** Can't find server name for address 192.168.0.1: Non-existent host/domain *** Default servers are not available RoadRunner reports NO local outages or problems (that they see). ?? Where to look, What to do ?? I have SuSE 7.3, single computer, cable (roadrunner) behind a Netgear RP114 router. -- Pat Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 Registered at: http://counter.li.org

Is your router supplying the DNS services for the 192.168.x.x LAN? -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER1@MN.RR.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE

It is supposed to. Do I have its setup mangled? -- Pat Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 Registered at: http://counter.li.org

I do the exact same thing with my router and RoadRunner. Have you tried resetting your router to defaults and reprogramming? The problem probably isn't with SuSE - It should be pretty generic on that side of the router. Are you using some funky routing table? -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER1@MN.RR.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE
