Hi boys, I checked on 2.2.13 the support for 3com 3c905TX but was not lucky. Any hope to find it on 2.2.14? The dummiest question: for ping, ftp, etc. it is sufficient to configure a IP on my two damned machines, one running SuSE and the laptop running the awful WZ98? I got a unex small hub and two NICs, but couldn't manage in the weekend. I'm confused by your message so forgive me if I answer something you aren't asking. Are you looking for support for the 3com 905? Because if you are it is allready supported. I'm running two of them at home right now. I'm going by memory but I think they use the 3com vortex driver. You don't have to put it in the kernel either, you can use yast to set it up and load the driver as a module. The other question . . .I'm guessing you just want to transfer files and things between those two machines? If so then yes, use private numbering (10.1.1.* or 192.168.0.* using these numbers makes it easier to add things in the future like masquerading) and you should be able to set it up easily. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
