We didn't have an excessive amount of trouble with our Athlon 700/G400 box. You might need to use SaX's `Expert' mode in the cards tab to force the amount of VRAM, but it's pretty easy. Have you tried using xf86config or XF86Setup? -- -=|JP|=- (Resident GNUbie) Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions jpennington@atipa.com | http://www.atipa.com Kansas City, MO, USA | 816-241-2641 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Download ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/SuSE-Linux/suse_update/XFree86-3.3.5-SuSE/suse62/xsvga.rpm and configure X with SaX once more. Now edit the XF86Config and remove the "VideoRam" entry from the Device section. That should help. If this fails, have a close look at the X Server's startup messages. Good luck!
