Just spotted .. "http://checkinstall.izto.org/index.php" Dec 26th, 2009 Checkinstall 1.6.2 has been released with support for the new glibc's at-style functions and many other improvements and bug fixes. This is the first major release in a while. Go download it!. Seems like its not quite as UN supported as claimed after all Pete . -- Powered by openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 2 (x86_64) Kernel: 2.6.30-rc6-git3-4- default KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 1" 22:22 up 1 day 1:22, 3 users, load average: 0.72, 0.75, 0.72

I didn't say it was unsupported but rather supported only sporadicly. If you check the news section on checkinstalls home page for when the support for glibc's at-style functions was available from the checkinstall git repo, you'll see it was added on Nov the 16th 2008! Now given that support for at-style functions is mandatory for any halfway recent glibc, it's very telling that it took its author *one year* to release a version that includes that support. I don't know what you think but in my book that' less then poor support. Yes, that's sadly true. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
