yes, they only provide 11.4 version which work up thru 12.3

I don't have a repo set up, the VB app will advise you of upgrade, just dl the rpm, extension pack and guest additions when available and apply them. I run VB in Tumbleweed, have sessions: windoz 7 windoz vb centos mint chakra openSUSE 13.1 test iirc, the openSUSE packages do not provide usb access. I use Oracle's packages. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

iirc, the openSUSE packages do not provide usb access. I use Oracle's packages.
Thanks, I have installed the Oracle 11 4 which is working -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

+1 Are you possibly trying to install mis-matching versions? VBoxGuestAdditions_4.2.10.iso VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.10_84104_openSUSE114-1.x86_64.rpm Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.2.10-84104.vbox-extpack are the most recent trio I see -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Actually, yes I did try mis-matched versions - with the last 2 vbox updates - because the extension pack link on the download page returned only an older version. I have since found the download directory. Even with the proper match, it didn't install. What I discovered is that the VBox manager must be run first as root, it then installs fine. (I didn't remember that being required before, but it makes sense.) Thanks! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Or, perhaps just: /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It is just for Oracle version as OSE version from Build Service has everything ready to go, ie. compiled and packaged. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
