[opensuse] OpenSuSE 11.2 and input
I installed OpenSuSE 11.2 on my Acer Aspire One D150 netbook ( 10 inches ). Everything went ok during installation but, when prompted for login I realized that none input device was working ( keyboard, mouse, touchpad ). I rebooted with systemrescuecd to see if /etc/X11/xorg.conf was correct, and it was. Now I have no way to do something on SuSE as it is, any clue ? Wasn't the input configuration file " xorg.conf " ? klamath -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

In the Spanish list a similar problem was reported. Have a look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log, perhaps you see something of the sort: (WW) AllowEmptyInput is on, devices using drivers 'kbd', 'mouse' or 'vmmouse' will be disabled This person also saw this: - --------------------------------------------/etc//X11/xorg.conf-- Section "InputDevice" # Driver "kbd" will be disabled unless 'Option "AutoAddDevices" "off"' # is set in "ServerFlags" section. (...) EndSection Section "InputDevice" # Driver "mouse" will be disabled unless 'Option "AutoAddDevices" "off"' # is set in "ServerFlags" section. (...) EndSection - --------------------------------------------/etc//X11/xorg.conf-- and adding: Option "AutoAddDevices" "off" to the section ServerFlags solved his problem. Other people had diferent causes, which have been reported here: search the archive. Perhaps one of those solutions may help you. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
