Updated today on www.usr-local-bin.org * Mozilla - updated to 1.4a - spec merged with SuSE spec (more below) * Galeon - version 1.3.4 - rebuilt for Mozilla 1.4a * Epiphany - version 0.5.0 - rebuilt for Mozilla 1.4a The usr local bin RPM spec file has been merged into the SuSE spec file for the packages found in ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla so why am I still producing packages myself? Well, the experimental packages on ftp.suse.com are built from CVS snapshots, in order to represent a more current picture of squashed bugs etc, but this means that building packages against them can be problematic. The packages on usr local bin are built with the source tarballs from mozilla.org so that they reflect the state of Mozilla in terms of releases, and so that Galeon/Epiphany can be more easily built against them. Merging the two package trees (ulb & SuSE) means that they're more interchangeable, but keeping them both rather than dropping the ulb packages means that people who want to use Galeon or Epiphany have more freedom to use the right packages. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
